Assistant Professor of Computer Science, Colby College
Isaac “Ike” Lage is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Colby College. His research interests lie in the field of human-centered machine learning, including explainable AI and AI-assisted decision making under partial information. Ike is currently involved in the NSF funded ARIA (AI Research Institute on Interaction for AI Assistants, 2025-2030), and Maine-FOREST (Forest-based Opportunities for Resilient Economy, Sustainability, and Technology, 2024-2028) projects. He will be a Davis AI Faculty Sabbatical Fellow in 2026-2027. Ike earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Harvard and a B.A. in Computer Science and Social & Cultural Analysis from New York University.
